The healing power of the Wildbad thermal spas

"The best part is the water" – wrote the Greek lyricist Pindar about 500 B.C. The same is true in many respects for Bad Wildbad as well: it flows from the tap in spring water quality. The Enz, whose course contributes to the beauty of the Spa Park, and the thermal springs as well, guarantee a variety of soothing experiences.

Wildbad and water have been linked with each other since at least 1367. At that time, Count Eberhard of Wurttemberg cured his "scarred body", as later told in Ludwig Uhland's ballad "Hold-up in Wildbad" from 1815, in the 35 – 41° C. warm Wildbad springs that bubble to the surface from a depth of up to 600 m.

The thermal springs have been praised over and over again as a source of health. Many guests are convinced of their healing powers, especially with problems concerning the musculoskeletal system.

Today visitors will find two completely different thermal spas in the immediate vicinity of the town centre: the Vital Therme with its emphasis on movement, fitness and health; and the Palais Thermal, an oasis of well-being, a beautiful spa temple with unique nostalgic pools and an elegant modern sauna and wellness world, a fairy-tale fantasy from the Orient and Occident.
